São Paulo Legislative Assembly Passes OER Bill

Timothy Vollmer

UPDATE: As of 15 February 2013 this billhas been vetoedby the Governor of the State of Sao Paulo.

Last year wewrote aboutthe introduction of an OER bill in Brazil. Yesterday, the State of São Paulo approved PL 989/2011, which establishes a policy whereby educational resources developed or purchased with government funds must be made freely available to the public under an open copyright license. The Governor must sign the bill for it to become law. You can view the bill text (Portuguese) linked from theState Assembly website.

Essentially, the legislation language suggests a CCBY-NC-SAlicense, even if not specifically stated.

Congratulations to the State of São Paulo for passing this law.

    一个外星球的小兔子忽然降临地球,那么的新奇、陌生;2012年了为什么 bai du 都搜不到创用CC的词条呢?东西方国家文明差距是成在的!
    3.0这个版本真是苦命,病毒的侵扰、业界的剽窃、咨询无门、有关方面回避!我被人说是神经病!
    说道产权,还没发布就被我 Wiki 家子偷卖、改版买到国外了!还封承我的有关重要资料;
    后期,我心很凉,默默的做作我的贡献,比如:大数据、2网合并,有关知名企业升级等;但从未收取报酬,看到知识共享为人类所作出贡献,看到全球同胞无国界的享用科技资源
    ,我感到无限的欣慰,谢谢社区的朋友们的无私贡献!
