Yuanxiao serves as Counsel at Creative Commons. Prior to joining CC, Yuanxiao worked as a Consultant at the Dramatists Guild of America and as a Copyright Specialist at the University of Michigan. In these roles, Yuanxiao enjoyed educating and empowering authors and scholars, many of whom could not afford commercial legal representation.

Yuanxiao received her B.A. in English Literature from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) and J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Yuanxiao is licensed to practice law in New York.
